With the knowledge and experience AWC offers in the automation industry, AWC helps to complete our team to launch T-SEP™, and we are excited to have AWC join in our efforts.

AWC Inc, with over 240 employees, offers an experienced staff to support the instrumentation, electrical, and automation industries. Headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, AWC Inc operates 15 distribution centers in 5 states in the Southern United States and can allow for quick and personal response to specific tube separation and support requirements. Says PFS President, Gerry Keller, "With the knowledge and experience AWC offers in the automation industry, AWC helps to complete our team to launch T-SEP™, and we are excited to have AWC join in our efforts."

PFS launched the T-SEP™ product in November of 2009 to help eliminate the crevice corrosion problem caused by current methods of separating parallel runs of pneumatic tubing which allow corrosive elements to gather at the point of separation and cause crevice corrosion of the tubing. Through the use of a half round I-rod, a durable thermoplastic, and grade 316 stainless steel separators, the round-to-round surface design of the T-SEP™ helps to avoid contact with the tubing and prevent build-up of corrosive liquids at the point of separation of the tubing, allowing corrosive elements to easily escape. The assembly also includes a 1" wide by 1/4" thick flat bar in either grade 316 stainless steel or grade 6061 aluminum, as well as grade 316 stainless steel mounting hardware.

PFS Introduces the T-SEP Assembly

T-SEP Assembly

T-SEP (Tube Separation Assembly) is an assembly to separate pneumatic tubes. An anti- corrosion device, T-SEP is designed to allow corrosive elements to escape tubing before corrosion would develop. T-SEP Assembly consists of four main parts: Flat Bar, I-Rod, Tube Spacer and Hardware.

Flat Bar is manufactured from 6061 series aluminum. Dimensions:  1/4 x 1” wide x L. Flat Bar will be prefabricated to fit tray size, hardware access will be installed.

The I-Rod® is a durable thermoplastic, extruded and cut into 1/2 round. I-Rod has excellent compressive strength, UV stability and a very low friction coefficient. The I-Rod will be prefabricated to accept matching flat bar and hardware. Two identical pieces will be supplied with assembly.

Tube Spacer is manufactured from stainless steel grade 316. Spacers are available 1/4", 3/8”, 1/2” and 3/4" diameter tubing. Spacers may be adapted to accept number of tubes required. Spacers are designed for minimal contact with tubing yet durable to maintain separation.

Hardware 1/4 – 20 SS316 Hex Head Bolts, 1/4 – 20 SS316 Flat Washers and 1/4" SS316 Lock Nut are provided with the T-SEP Assembly. In order to maintain a 6” or less separation for hardware, access holes will be installed as follows:

2”, 3” and 4” wide channel tray (One Hole)

              6”, 8”, 9”, 10”, 12”, 18”, wide tray (Three Holes)

            24” wide tray (Four Holes)

30” and 36” wide tray (Six Holes)

Where multiple holes are installed, matching hardware will be supplied unless specified otherwise.

How to Order

To order T-SEP Assembly, please indicate tube diameter and number of tubes along with support method (fiberglass channel tray 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 10 inch wide) or (Ladder tray 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 30, or 36 wide). PFS will supply the proper T-SEP Assembly.

PFS Now Offers Wire Tie Down Studs

These saddle-style cable mounts use the Capacitive Discharge (CD) process for installation. This makes it an excellent choice for thin gauge sheet metal application. The extension is inserted into the weld tool. The cable mount is positioned against the work. The trigger is pulled and 10 milliseconds later, the cable mount is permanently welded in place.

Because this is a single-sided process, it does not leave any unsightly screw threads exposed. Also, because it is welded in place, it cannot come loose due to thermal/humidity cycling. These means it will out-perform adhesive cable mounts every time.

Cable Hangers Available in Metric

PFS announces slotted cable hangers; both “ESL” type for electrical and “SLP” type for pneumatic tubing along with “Crimp" type tapped cable hangers are now available with M-10 tapped metric stud. Cable hangers can now be fastened to M-10 male threaded stud. Please specify metric by placing an “M” after part number of cable hanger request. Example: P15002-ESL2 M (FOR METRIC).
