To Fabricate T-SEP Assembly™
- Determine quantity and diameter of tubes required.
- Determine support method for tubes, i.e. fiberglass channel tray/ ladder tray or other.
- Determine tube location in tray by diameter. When tube diameter changes in assembly, hardware must be used at diameter change.
- When tube diameter changes, shims or flat washers are used to level top flat bar retainer to equal height of largest diameter tube in the assembly (Shims are 1" wide x 1/8" thick).
- Scotch 3M #4496
- 3M double coated polyethylene foam tape (part #4496) is installed on bottom of I-ROD to temporarily hold I-ROD and spacer in position until tubing and top assembly, with hardware, can be mounted.
- 3M double coated polyethylene foam tape (part #4496) is used on top assembly to temporarily bond I-ROD to flat bar retainer before hardware is installed.
Note:
Hardware tabs on spacers may be removed on one side or both to accommodate tube quantity and location.
Example:
"Four 3/8" tubes and five 1/4" tubes mounted to 6" channel tray"
Two pieces of I-ROD will be fabricated for topside retainer. One piece of I-ROD and shim- 2 1/4"L to fit five 1/4" tubes, and one piece of I-ROD- 3"L to fit 3/8" tubes. Two hardware holes will be placed on the longer piece of flat bar @ .375 from each end. One hardware hole will be placed on the other end .375 of the shorter I-ROD.
The bottom I-ROD will be one continuous piece with hardware holes aligned to accept top I-ROD and flat bar.
